Product description

OSMO Protective Oil Varnish is a decorative semi-matt wood protection coating based on natural oils for all wood in exterior areas. With open pores, it allows the wood to breathe, reduces swelling and shrinkage. It repels water, is extremely weather and UV resistant.

The coating contains active ingredients to prevent paint attack from mould, algae and fungus and has proven itself for decades in extreme climatic conditions. It does not chip, crack or peel.

It can be simply repainted without sanding, no priming is required. It can be painted easily and without noticeable edges. It does not dry when painted.

Usage

• All wood in exterior areas.
• Doors, windows and shutters (dimensionally stable construction parts).
• Carports, wooden facades, balconies, wooden terraces, fences, pergolas, garden furniture and garden houses (dimensionally unstable construction parts).
• Yield
• Approximately 26m2/litre in one coat for planed wood.Approximately 12m2/litre in one layer for fine sawn timber.

Expert tip

• If the wood coating soaks into the substrate unevenly, which can easily happen with softwoods, the coating will be uneven in colour. For a better, more uniform and matt finish, we
• recommend an additional treatment with Protective Oil Varnish in a colourless tint (701). This will matt the shinier areas and make the paint visually uniform.
